Collaborative research support program - Elkartek (Basque Government)
The project has developed a mechatronic system for the estimation of machining forces and cutting tool life.
The research carried out in the project includes aspects ranging from the design of sensors using functional materials, to the processing of information obtained from machine tests through Machine Learning, as well as the development of signal capture and processing systems.
The systems developed as a result of the project provide an advance towards machining with zero defects and the optimization of resources in manufacturing systems.
